The Trans Film Series hosts a FREE screening of:
“VERONICA VIDELAS’S PASSION” & “SHE”

All welcome. Allies welcome.

► VERONICA VIDELAS’S PASSION: Verónica has two passions: to study psychology at the University and to live peacefully in Mendoza. These ambitions are challenging for her due to the existence of laws which prohibit transvestites from circulating freely on the streets. Her life is further complicated when she is not allowed to enrol at university for being trans. Verónica doesn’t deny her complex identities. Here, bureaucracy gets dramatized and the barriers to post-secondary education become evident.

► SHE: Lucía, a young trans student, enters a new high school halfway through her last year of school. This transition is made even harder when the principal tries to stop her from continuing to attend the institution. Her classmates unite to prevent that from happening. “Ell=(Ella)”
dir.: Sheila Coto (2012)

Together lets acknowledge that as we come together it is on Indigenous Land

We recognize that hosting the event within an academic institution can be triggering and a barrier.
